Hey Folks!
We’re in California!
In the process of planning for the second leg of our trip we’ve come up with some ways to SIMPLIFY our lives and get more of our content up so you can see what the hell we’ve been up to for the past month! More info, more of our faces, and just generally more for you to munch on and ask questions about!
While in Illinois we met with Friends of the Chicago River.
Here are some links if you’re interested in learning more about water pollution and conservation:
Basics of Conservation Biology
Natural Drainage Systems (more video to come about this)
Bon Apetit!

We met with Margo, president of Chelsea Green, in Vermont before we started our trip. I’m currently reading An Unreasonable Woman, which they published, and so far I can’t put it down!
This video starts to get into the nitty gritty of some of the questions that have been coming through your comments. I encourage anyone with questions of suggestions to send them our way. The feedback and ideas we receive really help shape this project.
We are currently in Seattle, editing and catching our breath from the long haul through the midwest.

This is where we started out our trip, in Unity, ME.
It rained non-stop (except at night) for both days we attended. But during a brief sunny moment we took a tour of the MOFGA Homstead and spoke with one of the farmers in residence.
We’re in Chicago right now! Niether of us have been here before so we’re excited to explore a little.

Hello!
Just a quick update to let you know what we’re up to!
Currently we are in Oberlin, OH checking out the Oberlin College’s Environmental Studies Building. We just came from Toronto where we met with a food program called Food Share.
We’re headed to Ohio University to check out some leads we’ve gotten there and then we’re going to Yellow Springs, OH to meet with the people thinking up Agraria.
Then we’re off through Montana, Seattle and maybe Vancouver.
We’ve now acquired over 15 hours of footage and I am working furiously to sort through it all. Of course, if there are any questions or suggestions send them our way!
Yeehaw,
Ashley
