Today we leave for the Common Ground Fair in Unity, Maine!
We spent a week in Vermont as a test run for the trip. We stopped in at the Farmer’s Diner in Quechee, VT. This is a preview of what’s to come!
Thanks for watching!

You picked a good place to start.
I hope this idea of local food keeps spreading.
It’s smart that the diner even lists the local farms where the food comes from.
Real relationships forming in the local economy.
It’s almost strange to think about having grown up in a world of J.C Pennies, Sears, and now Walmart.
i’m so jealous! yum!!!
can’t wait to see more!

Please take this as constructive criticism. I mean well….

If the goal of your project is to inform and document the “’sustainable’ movement” this first post is a disappointment.
There could have been much more information about what seems to be an interesting commerical venture using locally produced food.
Why not interview the owner(s)? Is there more than one owner? Is it a collective? Or interveiw some of the staff. Have some commentary from patrons… how do they feel about the place? We need more info about what they offer.. is it just regular diner food? Or are there special offerings specific to the locale? Do they practice other sustainable practices? why or why not?
Good luck! It looks like a fantastic trip you’re about to embark on, and I applaud your idea!
BTW, what camera are you using, the footage looks great!

Sorry, I couldn’t resist. Good luck and have fun on the road! Watch out for perverts like me; stay away from California and you’ll be alright.
twhid,
hi there! thanks for your comment, we appreciate the feedback. Our videos will be more saturated with the questions you’re asking and i chose a short and sweet video to do first, for time purposes. We’ve been packing and video-ing like mad women and it was almost a teaser, the diner piece. we have such a wealth of footage already and there will be a mix of interviews as well as our own commentary as we go along, so some episodes will be snippets of our adventures and others will be more in depth.
keep it coming,
Ashley
